Customer and Device Settings Management

Follow

Settings

In the Settings view (Customers, Devices, and Triggers → Customer Settings), customer-specific setting rules are defined. Each setting specifies both the target group (customers and devices to which the setting applies) and the actual setting values that are applied to the target group.

Basic Information

  • Name — the display name of the setting (required).
  • Active — a toggle to enable or disable the setting.
  • Description — a free-text description of the purpose of the setting (required).
  • Order Number — defines the order in which settings are processed when multiple settings apply to the same target. The smallest number is processed first and the largest last.

Customer Targeting Rules

Rule Customer Restrictions section narrows down which customers the setting applies to:

  • Gender — all / male / female / unknown / unspecified.
  • Age Range — lower age limit (apply_age_low) and upper age limit (apply_age_up).
  • Teams — select teams whose customers the setting applies to.
  • Tags — restrict by tags.
  • Treatment Plans — restrict the rule to apply to a treatment plan.
  • Products — restrict the products to which the rules apply.

Device-Specific Rules

  • Device Types — select device types to which the setting applies.
  • Device Tags — restrict by device groups.

Settings

Settings section provides the actual values that are applied to the targets. The values depend on the content of the setting.

Additional Actions

The three-dot menu in the detail view contains:

  • Delete — deletes the setting.
  • Change Log — the change history of the setting.

Note. Settings are processed in numerical order. If multiple settings apply to the same target, the last processed one takes precedence. Use the ordering numbers carefully.

Tip. You can disable a setting by deactivating it instead of deleting it entirely. This way, you can restore it later.
