General
Gillie is a browser-based service and does not require separate installation. However, smooth and secure use requires an up-to-date browser and a working internet connection.

Network and Connections

Display and Resolution
- Desktop recommendation: at least 1366 × 768 pixels.
- For maps, timelines, and charts, 1920 × 1080 or higher resolution is recommended.
- Mobile and tablet views scale automatically.
- Browser zoom works (Ctrl/Cmd + + and − and 0).
Browser Settings
- JavaScript must be enabled.
- Cookies must be allowed for Gillie’s address (for login session).
- Push notification and location permissions are requested separately in the browser if needed.
Common Situations
"Page does not load properly"
Update your browser to the latest version and clear the browser cache. Try a private/incognito window – if it works there, the problem is usually due to an extension or cache.
"Notifications are not coming through"
Check that notifications are allowed both in the browser site settings and at the operating system level.
"Connection drops repeatedly"
Check your internet connection (preferably wired or strong WiFi). Ask IT support to ensure the firewall is not terminating sessions at regular intervals.
Tip. Keep your browser updated – most problems are solved by this alone.
