Overview
In the embedded view, Gillie appears as part of another system, for example, within a patient information system in the context of a customer. The functions are the same as in the main user interface, but the navigation is more limited.
Usage
- Open the customer in your main system.
- Click the Gillie tab or button.
- The customer's Gillie information appears embedded.
- Handle alerts, entries, and forms as usual.
Differences from the main interface
- The general menu is more limited — it focuses on the open customer.
- Your connection user is identified from the main system.
- The session is often shorter and tied to the main system's session.
Session expiration
In the embedded view, the session may expire for security reasons. When this happens, Gillie displays a message indicating that the session has ended.
What the message shows
- A title indicating the session has expired.
- A brief instruction text.
What to do
- Close the message.
- Return to the main system (e.g., the patient information system) and reopen Gillie from there.
- Continue your work in the new session.
Best practices
- Use the embedded view for smooth daily work — it saves context switching.
- You need the main interface when handling multiple customers at once or performing maintenance tasks.
